The Skills Hub ‘Continues to be Good’ Ofsted, June 2018

Careers Fair with Young People’s Academy

The Skills Hub and Young People’s Academy held their first Careers Fair on Wednesday, with visitors such as:

•           Brunel University

•           Uxbridge College

•           College of Northwest London

•           West Thames College

•           Construction Youth Trust

•           The Army

•           The Metropolitan Police

•           Kwik Fit

•           Orchard Hill College, Traineeship department

•           Buzz Gym

The Skills Hub and Young People’s Academy took it in turns to visit the fair, and although shy at first, they all left with a handful of leaflets and a smile on their face!

Paul Chambers, Deputy Head of The Skills Hub said “I felt so proud of both groups of students!”

Brunel University quoted “Thank you for inviting Brunel! My colleague and I were very impressed with the level of engagement of the students. Many were very focused on areas they would like to work in. I asked a couple of students what they expected from the event and they responded very positively expressing how it was better than anything they expected.”

Watch this space for our next careers fair!

You have kept my son safe and in school for which I am truly grateful. I hope that when he leaves he will be the biggest success story for The Skills Hub so that in the future other kids can look up to him.
