Safeguarding and Child Protection

Safeguarding is a high priority at The Skills Hub. The school has policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety of students, staff and any other visitors on the school site. The Designated Safeguarding Lead is Isobel Callaby.

Mental Health Crisis or Emergency? Call the CNWL Single Point of Access CNWL (Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust) is the major mental health service for Hillingdon. Their Single Point of Access in emergencies is 0800 0234 650.

Mind: http://www.hillingdonmind.org.uk/ Mind is a national organisation that promotes mental health issues and offers a range of internet based support, along with links to local support services. Hillingdon Mind provides a range of group based and 1:1 support services for adults experiencing emotional distress and mental health difficulties.

Royal College of Psychiatrists: www.rcpsych.ac.uk Royal College of Psychiatrists website has information pages to view online and 36 fact sheets available, covering issues around growing up, parental mental illness and mental health difficulties within adolescence. This includes Mind Ed, which is a free e-learning resource to help adults to identify and understand children and young people with mental health issues.
